About

Lavender Lane Equestrian was founded by Olivia Lavender, named after the family's first three horses, Guinness, Geno, and Gunner; all retired Thoroughbred racehorses. After running the gamut with equine injuries, therapies, and rehabilitation protocols, Olivia realized that once "the boys" were on a regular maintenance schedule, the fewer and farther between injuries occurred. After searching the the right program the begin the basis of the company, Olivia chose Equissage, one of the leading schools in equine sports massage therapy.

The Boys of LLE

Guinness- The original "G". Guinness was a black type steeplechase horse, earning over $165,000 in 25 starts. Guinness was the first horse in the family. Many people have commented on his kind eyes, and his quiet but intelligent gaze. He is currently retired, enjoying his very best life, and babysitting Gunner in their turnout. Purchased by Olivia's sister, Maredith, Guinness has taught both sisters uncountable lessons about not only horses, but life. He taught them the responsibility, the sacrifice, and the the unbridled joy of having a horse.

Geno- The second "G". Frequently confused with a warmblood, he was a graded stakes winner with 18 starts, earning over $60,000. Although no longer residing with the Lavender family, Geno made a distinct impression on Olivia. He was the horse that taught her to take human opinions with a grain of salt, and horse opinions to the heart.

Gunner- The third times the charm "G". Gunner was a race flop, racing once and coming in very, very, last. Although some may have taken that as lack of athleticism, that is certainly not the case. Gunner has proven himself over and over to be a man with both brains and brawn. The lessons that Gunner have taught Olivia so far are to never question yourself, never under estimate a plain package, and always find the humor in a situation.
